Mike & Stu is a wedding photography team based in Southern California. 

Their work is defined by its nuanced creativity, technical proficiency, timelessness, and ability to evoke emotion in the viewer. 

As a team that photographs both fashion and weddings, their fashion work inspires their approach to weddings and engagements, giving it an aesthetic that you would expect to see in a high fashion editorial spread. 

Both Mike and Stu were freelance photographers prior to joining forces in 2015. The duo met while working at an Apple Store in Manhattan Beach, CA, and bonded over their passion for photography, music, yoga, and good pizza. 

Mike was born and raised on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and earned a Certificate in Digital Photography from the Center for Digital Imaging Art at Boston University. Through this rigorous program, Mike was able to acquire the technical skills necessary for being a top-notch photographer. After graduating, he became a staff photographer for the Johnny Cupcakes brand, and has photographed campaigns for Rains Outerwear, Throne Watches, Blue Car Rental, as well as shooting hundreds of weddings in New England, Southern California, and other picturesque destination-wedding locations. 

Stu grew up in Torrance, California, a suburb southwest of Los Angeles. He began taking photos when he was 9 years old, and won several school photography awards between elementary school and high school. After college, Stu became an apprentice and assistant to a world-renowned fashion and portrait photographer, and gained invaluable experience by assisting on photo shoots and spending countless hours with said photographer. Stu's interests in art, film, fashion, and literature heavily influence his approach to photography.   

Mike's technical expertise, combined with Stu's creativity, styling, and distinctive eye, make them the perfect duo. 

Time and time again, Mike & Stu have exceed the expectations of their clients, and have been praised for their professionalism, ability to direct subjects, and the consistency of their finished images.
